Honor Your Ancestor
One part of our mission at Dallas Genealogical Society is genealogy education. To answer that mission, we provide lectures on from a variety of programs, including, but not limited to:

Each month on the 4th Monday evening, DGS invites local experts in genealogical and historical research to lecture on records, methods and resources available to family historians.

  • Education classes

There are 3 classes being taught from beginning to advanced levels. In 2009 a fourth class will be added to assist family historians in developing and honing their research skills.

  • Annually sponsored trip to Salt Lake City Family History Library (a members only benefit).

Each year in October, DGS leads a group of family historians to Salt Lake City for research at the Family History Library--the largest genealogical repository in the world. This trip is a members only benefit. To get more details, click on the button on the left of this screen.
